The Nyanko Database theme song
We collected cat data, and a song came out
The singer is Mike, the mascot of Nyanko Database.
Lyrics
Curled up underneath the table
signaling with the tip of a tail
call your name and you climb my knee
I can read your mood today
Just the color of your eyes tells me
even the nights I didn't sleep
One by one, every sigh
gathered up and unraveled
into a secret notebook
I add another line today
all the quiet things I've saved
the selfish and the tender both
everything is here
open any time
every time you nuzzle close
another entry saved
you're the best of all
In front of a dish left half-eaten
staring hard and waiting there
if I walk by pretending not to see
suddenly you lean on me
Even halfway through your grooming
call, and you turn to look at me
One by one, every warmth
lined up and put away
even that mischief on your face
I keep it all on file
such small hands, and still
such an enormous heart
everything is here
open any time
every time you nuzzle close
another entry saved
you're the best of all
On rainy days you sleep so deeply
curled up close beside the window
even a loneliness without a name
unravels at your whiskers' tip
You don't have to say
that it'll be alright
just having you beside me
tells me everything
everything is here
open any time
every time you nuzzle close
another entry saved
you're the best of all
